The Educational Technologist Web Developer at Abu Dhabi Women's College will play a key role in the design, development and maintenance of College Information Systems (IS), web based instructional design and blended e-learning support. He/she will work closely with Academic and Administrative divisions to assist in implementation and support of systems to enhance administrative efficiency across all program areas in the College. This person will also work closely with Department chairs and faculty, providing training and support across program areas to enhance teaching and learning with new technologies.


• Bachelor's Degree in Educational Technology, e-Learning, IT, Computer Science or related field
• At least 3 years of related experience in the area of specialization
• Knowledge of current trends in website design and the application of new technologies in e-learning & education with expertise in instructional design and online courseware development
• Skilled in using ASP.NET, Oracle (or equivalent like SQL server) and other technologies for online systems development


• HTML, JavaScript/JScript and Cascading Style Sheets, SharePoint 2007
• High level Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) skills including analysis and design (Oracle 9i, SQL Server and My/SQL)
• Web authoring, animation and graphics tools such as Dreamweaver, FrontPage, SharePoint Designer, Flash, Fireworks/Photoshop
• XML/XSLT and the use of LDAP will be an added advantage
• Proven instructional design experience including content development involving recognised e-learning platforms e.g. WebCT, Blackboard
• Excellent written and spoken English
